     International Civil Aviation Day is celebrated annually on December 7 in the Republic of Tajikistan and other countries – a professional holiday for all those whose work is related to the sky: pilots, flight attendants, dispatchers, technical workers and other specialists in the field of Civil Aviation.
     It was on December 7, 1944, 80 years ago in Chicago that the Convention on International Civil Aviation, which was developed by 54 countries of the world was adopted and established the basic principles of international aviation and on the basis of which the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) was also established on April 4, 1947.
     This event was established in 1994 by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in honor of the 50th anniversary of its founding. In 1996, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution recognizing International Civil Aviation Day as an official event.
The Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan congratulates all employees of the Civil Aviation sector of the country on their professional holiday – International Civil Aviation Day and wishes you safe flights, clear skies and success in your very important work.
