On November 4-6, 2024, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nazarzoda Habibullo Temur took part in the first meeting of the Aviation Authority of the region to discuss the initiative to create the “Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference” and a regional seminar on risk assessment, which was held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of these events is to further strengthen cooperation in the field of Civil Aviation of the far and near member States of the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference, and the organization plans to hold more seminars on the topic of flight safety and training of specialists in the field of Сivil Aviation in the future.
Nazarzoda Habibullo Temur has spoken at the above-mentioned seminar and in particular noted that:
With the adoption of the Declaration on the Establishment of the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference, the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan seeks to actively cooperate with partners to share experience and knowledge in such important areas as flight safety, aviation security, simplification of formalities, sustainable aviation development, development of unmanned aircraft systems and training of aviation personnel.
Located in the strategic center of Eurasia, Tajikistan serves as an important transport corridor connecting Asia with Europe, and is ready to contribute to the development of aviation infrastructure and strengthening international cooperation.
Besides, our country attaches great importance to the development of Civil Aviation, modernization of airports, improvement of safety conditions and expansion of air services. We, the participants of the first meeting of the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference, recognize the importance of the development of Civil Aviation as a key factor in economic and social progress, as well as strengthening cultural and business ties between the countries of the Eurasian region.
Tajikistan, being an active participant in the Eurasian integration processes, strives to strengthen ties with the participating States of the conference. In addition, Tajikistan supports global and regional initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint in aviation and is interested in introducing new technologies that contribute to reducing emissions and developing environmentally safe approaches in Civil Aviation.
Thus, Tajikistan's participation in this meeting underscores our commitment not only to developing our own aviation industry, but also to strengthening cooperation to address common challenges and issues in the region. We are ready to support the goals and objectives of the Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference, take concrete measures to implement the decisions taken and promote the creation of conditions for safe, environmentally friendly and affordable air communication between the countries of Eurasia.
