Over the 33 years of State Independence, the air transport sector of Tajikistan has received a new development with the support and guidance of the Founder of Peace and national unity - Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, all airports in the country have received international status, and today the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and responsible persons in the field of civil aviation are taking effective and useful measures in the name of worthy service to the people.
During this period, Tajik aviation achieved great historical achievements and today is firmly moving towards a good future, which testifies to the common sense of patriotism and nationalization, the courage and steadfastness of the leadership, the wise political vision of the Leader of the nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

On August 14, 2024, in London, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, a fruitful meeting was held between high-ranking representatives of the Civil Aviation field, Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nazarzoda Habibullo Temur, General Director of “Aircompany Somon Air” LLC Valiev Abdulkosim, Deputy General Director of OJSC “Dushanbe International Airport” Malikzoda Asliddin and Ben Hoskins - Senior Manager of “Heathrow” Airport on the airline network.
The purpose of the meeting was to appoint the direct flights on routes of Dushanbe-London. We would like to inform that on March 28, 2024 was signed The Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on air services in Dushanbe city of the Republic of Tajikistan.
We hope that conducted above-mentioned meetings will play an effective role for development of the Civil Aviation industry in two countries.

On July 23, 2024, there was a meeting between Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Director General of the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Construction and Transport of Hungary, Mate Lowinger, and the Director of the Civil Aviation Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nazarzoda Habibullo, at which issues of developing cooperation in the field of aviation, as well as the opening of flights between the countries were discussed.
